I can't believe it took me so long to get hooked on Buffy. I'm a Librarian and I've been hearing about Giles for years but I didn't start watching until mid-way through the first syndication run on FX when my sister made me watch with her. I got hooked on Buffy right before Thanksgiving and by Christmas was totally in love with Riley Finn.
I hadn't heard of fan fiction until I stumbled upon the Finnatics page. After reading the Evil Wenches' wonderful series, I was inspired to write my own. I wanted Riley back. So I brought him back.
Other than assignments for school, I'd never written anything before "Ever After" so please be kind. I don't really think of myself as a writer -- maybe as a mother, wife, librarian, indexer, daughter, sister, and neurotic worrywart -- but not a writer. I'm not quite there yet but I'm honored to be in the company of so many wonderful authors.
Unsurprisingly, my favorite actor of the moment is Marc Blucas but Mark Harmon was the first Mark/c to steal my heart. I wouldn't kick Hugh Jackman out of bed either. My favorite tv shows are Buffy, West Wing, Sports Night, 24, Law & Order, Gilmore Girls, Riptide, Columbo and I'm always up for a Magnum P.I. rerun. Favorite authors are Elizabeth George and Laura Van Wormer. I can watch A Few Good Men, Moonstruck, While You Were Sleeping, The President's Men and American President over and over again -- my movies have to have a sense of justice and a (reasonably) happy ending. The CDs in the stereo right now are U2, Barenaked Ladies, John Denver and the Muppets Christmas, Into the Woods, and my sister's college a capella group.
I'm not sure what that says about me, but there you have it. Me in a nutshell. Thanks for reading.

Ok. So my real name isn't Alexandra Huxley, but my middle name is Alexandra and I always wanted it to be my first name so I decided on that as my author name. And I thought it fit pretty well with "Huxley" (gee, where did that come from?) as a last name so that's who I am when I write. But if you get an email from me, don't be surprised if I slip and call myself Jen.
